The combination of skills gained through this training is highly transferrable to technical jobs in many sectors of the economy.

Nina Lubarski

Nina Lubarski

Nina Lubarski graduated from Hopkins High School. She has a bachelor of science degree in Art, k-12 from Bemidji State University. She received her master’s degree in education through media technology and design from Full Sail University. Nina’s teaching career has allowed her to teach at the elementary, middle and high school levels. She not only teaches visual art she is also a three sport coach at the high school.

Sarah Stewert

Sarah Stewart

Sarah Stewart is a Bemidji High School graduate from the class of 2006. She received her Bachelor’s degree in K-12 Art Education from Bemidji State University and her Master’s degree in Art Education from Boston University. Sarah has taught K-12 art in Bemidji schools since 2014. She had run the 5th grade art club at Northern Elementary for 3 years and currently is in charge of the Bemidji High School art club. Sarah mainly teaches Photoshop and graphic design classes at BHS but also teaches several studio art classes. In Sarah’s free time she does chalkboard and window displays for local businesses, portrait photography, and teaches private art lessons for both children and adults in her home studio.

Business and Industry Experiences

Students in the academy will participate in job site visitations, job shadowing, and possible internship in a Graphic Design, Exhibit Design, and Studio Arts.
